For breakfast, I bought myself a peanut pancake from Jollibean for the first time today. Is it just me or does everyone know about their peanut pancakes?
First glance and I thought it was enormous. How can anyone finish one piece by themselves? It is so huge, it's fit to be 3 meals in one.
The pancake is thick and soft, while the peanut is a chunky blend of peanut paste. Personally, I didn't find the peanut paste too sweet, and it sure was hearty cuz of the thickness of the paste and pancake alike. However, I do think there's too much filling in the pancake. It has to be, since the paste was spilling out from all corners of the pancake. It was gooey, semi sweet and rich.
Despite thoroughly enjoying it, I had to stop at the fourth bite as it was just too rich for me. So I did indeed decide to keep it for lunch and dinner as well, maybe even supper. Well, to sum up my first ever 'food review', I say, the peanut pancake from Jollibean is truly value for money at 80 cents a piece and strictly only for those who swear by anything peanut or have a severe, massive, insatiable craving for anything peanut.
Otherwise, I suggest share one piece with 7 others. Yes, really.
For those who like the peanuts separate from the pancake, and for some reason, enjoy that the peanut pieces fall over the place but in your mouth, then Jollibean peanut pancakes aren't for you. In fact, the peanut paste is so perfect and smooth, that it may even taste processed and artificial to some although I doubt that.
Yes, there you go..perhaps I shall start doing food reviews on a regular basis, and maybe take it seriously and include ratings and other nitty gritty involved in food reviews. Hah! We'll see....
In other news, having not watered my pretty pink cactus for almost 3 months now has led the vibrant pink turn to orange and the glorious green stem to turn a funny shade of brown. I am now desperately taking all measures to revive my neglected plant...
